When you have been as many roadtrips as we have around Pennsylvania, you start to wonder what the fascination with strange giant people is, especially giant Amish people.
This statue is located at the Holiday Inn off of Route 30, Greenfield Exit. Address: 521 Greenfield Rd., Lancaster, PA
It seems sort of menancing at night, if you ask me.

The Choo Choo Barn Strasburg, Pennsylvania
The Choo Choo Barn, near the Strasburg Railroad, is a gem that the whole family can enjoy.
The Choo Choo barn is basically a miniature version of Lancaster County.
From the miniature Amish Farm: to Dutch Wonderland:
There are lots of animated scenes that start with the push of a button. Our favorite by far was the fire scene:
We watched this one a few times!
Another favorite was the miniature Dutch Haven:
By the way, if you never had Dutch Haven shoo fly pie, you really should try it! I didn't even like shoo fly pie until I tried their shoo fly pie. Seriously! Go to the actual Dutch Haven for the pie, though, I can't imagine a miniature pie would be very filling.
The Choo Choo Barn is located at 226 Gap Road, Strasburg, PA 17579

Admission Price is $6 for adults and $4 for kids, and worth every penny!

Outta the Way!!
Another weekend, low on cash, bills are paid, what can I do?
Welcome to Outta the Way!
Outta the Way is your guide to places that are - well - out of the way and not your normal tourist traps. Here we focus more on showing you the places you may not have known about.
Some may be of historical note, some a little weird or odd, a few macabre but all are unique. Most importantly they're inexpensive and will keep a smile on your face and your brain on the edge. We feel if you go into those adventures with an open mind, you'll find as much enjoyment in these trips as we we have.
Your guides are Jim and Kim (from B.B. Bellezza) and we enjoy taking trips, but don't have a lot of money so we have found inexpensive places that are still entertaining and interesting. We have also started a zine! (More information on the zine to come!)
So, Get Outta the Way, I'm going Outta the Way!
